Among the major highlights are a CBS special scheduled for September 14th, a Gossip Girl FNO-themed episode on the 20th, and what is being touted as the biggest fashion show of all time, staged by Vogue in New York City on September 7th.
In London, Giorgio Armani and Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman will be co-hosting a cocktail party at Armani’s new Bond Street store.
The designer told Vogue UK that London is one of his favorite cities, and that “Vogue is of course known to be an important reference in the world of fashion,” adding that he is delighted to join Alexandra Shulman to celebrate this great global fashion initiative.
Londoners also have Manolo Blahnik’s Liberty pop up store, The World of Manolo, to look forward to, as well as an in-house acoustic session of emerging British talent at Burberry, and free express manicures at Chanel.
According to Fashionista, Barneys New York in Manhattan will have a karaoke contest judged by the Proenza Schouler boys, the Olsen twins, and Barneys own Simon Doonan.
Over at Bergdorf Goodman, there will be a line of exclusive New York-inspired products, including ten coats designed by ten different designers – Phillip Lim and Rag & Bone among them.
Elsewhere, Rachel Zoe will launch Piperlime’s first ever pop-up shop in a yet to be announced location.
With still over a month to go before the events kick-off, the second iteration of the fashion-themed event already looks like it’s going to be chock-full of even more fun and mayhem than the first.
