Frizz is in, if Marc Jacobs has his way for Spring/Summer 2011.
Among the most notable touches was Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Day Lily, which was topped with Orange Pigment Powder on the lips (launching Spring 2011). If we needed more evidence than the look created by Estee Lauder at Sunday’s Derek Lam show that orange was THE color to watch out for come Spring, this is it.
This bold beauty look was a complement to the vibrantly wearable and youthful contemporary collection that was, this season, inspired by lingerie and dancers.
Bubbling with colors, stripes, and bright yellows and reds, there were also a number of more muted neutral, khaki, and rusty-colored looks, along with some patterns (including one done in collaboration with artist Jesse Langille), to give the younger Marc Jacobs customer plenty to choose from in what appears to be a very optimistic line-up.
