All of a sudden, it seems like every cosmetic counter is bombarding you with enticing winter gift sets, and you just have no idea where to start.

This limited edition palette comes with three eyeshadows, two lip glosses, and a double-ended brush. Although we love the classic, rich brown, gray, and pink shimmery shadows, the packaging is what really makes this item unique. The clutch is made of black patent leather, with a gold clasp, and has a “Dior”-engraved gold plaque on top. This would be a great gift for the more elegant women in your life.
2. MAC Lash & Line Kit ($36):
This little gift set is part of MAC’s dazzling new holiday collection, A Tartan Tale. The kit provides everything you need for a complete flashy teal or violet eye, including pigment, Zoom Lash mascara, and Fluid Line liquid liner. MAC’s trio comes in a multi-tartan black patent bag and would be perfect for a glam girl always on the go.
3. Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour ($23):
Need a classy stocking filler? Here it is! For their Holiday 2010 Collection, Chanel has taken a daring step away from the traditional reds that are popular in December and have presented us with a bold pink line. The limited edition Le Vernis nail polish comes in a variety of colors, but our favorite has to be the “Pulsion.” It’s a gorgeous, rich fuchsia color that looks much redder in the bottle than on the nail.
For their holiday collection this year, Clinique has managed to squeeze some of their best-selling colors into a tiny, silvery compact. This collection, which contains three pink-based shadows and a soft-pressed powder plush, is very similar to their regular “Strawberry Fudge” palette: an intense eye-shadow duo with a deep chocolate brown, and a soft, shimmery pink. The great thing about Clinique is that their products work on super sensitive skin, so this would be great for the gal who’s nervous about breaking out from new products.
5. Smashbox Wish for the Perfect Pout set ($29):
This limited gloss set is definitely one of the winter’s best deals! Valued at $96, the festive package includes six glosses in varying sizes, with some permanent shades and some that are only exclusive to the holidays. With the wide variety of colors, even if one of them doesn’t appeal to you, there are five more options.
