Given that Chemline designer Averi Bell is a former costume designer, the dramatic flair evident in her Fall 2011 collection should come as little surprise.

Clearly inspired by a glamorous 40s cinematic style of dressing and menswear, fur touches, oversized blazers, fitted vests, loosely tailored trousers, and ruffle embellishments were bountiful.

Bell designs with sustainability in mind and so the fabrics used to create her pieces include hemp/yack blends, recycled poly/hemp twill, organic cotton crepe, organic wool crepe, hemp/silk charmeuse, and recycled denim fiber.
