This year, Ralph Lauren, Marchesa, David Rockwell, Richard Chai, David Stark, Evette Rios, Jonathan Adler, and Isabel & Ruben Toledo were among those that participated and the only rule they were given was that their creation must allow for ten people to dine. Why? After the public viewing, which runs through the weekend, there’s a gala dinner on the actual tables!
I’ve gone to the cocktail event for the past four years and the creativity that the designers come up with every year never ceases to amaze (one table featured two men standing atop its center — wedding cake style!). Each display has an endless amount of detail and most do a great job reflecting the aesthetic of the designer. Check out some of the incredible creations below and learn more about DIFFA, which has raised over $40 million to fight AIDS here.
