It’s official! The Toronto International Film Festival is finally underway in the fair city of Toronto and the celebrities are converging with their baggage (both physical and emotional, here’s looking at you, Kristen Stewart) in tow.
After making their way through Pearson airport, the stars were thrown into top gear and hit the red carpets for the premieres of On The Road, Rust and Bone, and Looper. But if you weren’t one of the lucky few who were able to attend, fear not because here are some of the fashion highlights for your criticisms and compliments.
First up is On The Road star Kirsten Dunst, who looked like peaches in cream in her draped dress from Christian Dior, complete with an embellished neckline and statuesque posture.
Dunsts’ On The Road co-star, Kristen Stewart also showed face on the red carpet in what must have been the most nerve-wracking night of her career after her cheating trampire scandal shocked the world. On Wednesday night, Stewart had been spotted at LAX wearing Robert Pattinson’s “Irie” t-shirt, but for last night’s premiere, she donned a very of-the-moment mesh and floral appliqué dress, reportedly from Zuhair Murad Couture, and had her dark hair pulled back to show off her bloodstained lips.
Heading over to the Rust and Bone red carpet, French actress Marion Cotillard looked chic and elegant in her strapless gun-metal grey gown by Christian Dior. She accessorized with a pop of electric blue and orange pointed-toe stilettos and a gold cuff bracelet, again by Dior.
Finally, Emily Blunt was in town to promote the much-raved about Looper, in which she stars with Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (be-still-my-beating-heart). But not to be overshadowed by the leading men, Blunt stepped out onto the red carpet in this ooh-la-la figure-hugging maroon number by Roland Mouret, which she teamed with Alexander Birman shoes, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, and a Judith Leiber bag.
So now I have to ask: Whose outfit rocked the observation deck off the CN Tower?
