Where: The Valentino show at PFW
Why we like it: Smoky eyes are a dime a dozen but we love this rusty accent shade. Try a dark blue or purple for a less outrageous variation.
How to get it at home: If there’s only one thing Nicole could benefit from, it’s a matte base. Try using Hourglass’ Immaculate LIquid Powder Foundation Mattifying Oil Free, $55, this formula is perfect for women with oily skin who are prone to shine. Groom and shape your brows using a tinted gel such as Benefit’s Speed Brow, $18. When working with shimmer or glitter based eyeshadows, it’s important to prime the lid as these formulas are most prone to fall out. Try BECCA’s Eye Priming Perfector, $24, which should limit any movement. Using the bottom shade of the brick, apply Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick Compact in Lilac Rose, $42, all across the lid and under the lower lash line. Then take a fluffy blending brush and blend a small amount of Dior’s Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow in Kohl 096, $29, into the crease and outer corner. Nicole’s false lashes might be a bit much for every day so try a mascara, such as Clinique’s High Impact Waterproof Mascara, $16, that delivers volume and length. Finish off your look with a sheer pink tinted balm, such as YSL’s Volupte Sheer Candy in 12 Tasty Raspberry, $32.
