Any fashion designer who partners with Momofuku Milk Bar and owns two candy stores is bound to have a fun, colorful spirit, so it’s fitting that Cynthia Rowley lined the ceiling of her presentation’s venue with streamers, balloons and other festive embellishments.
Staying true to her signatures, Rowley showed a lineup that mixed flirty party dresses with sportswear-inspired separates and bodysuits (yes, her scuba pieces are back for Spring 2014). Among the standouts were a white loosely pleated dress with textured black floral straps that tied into the season’s jewelry, ivory print scuba pants, floral wetsuits, a colorful stripe on stripe two piece look and a red dress with an abstract blue print, all of which made for an effortless, playful feel.
