In reaching the penultimate city of fashion month , everyone’s starting to get tired. After hundreds of shows, hours of travel and countless sleepless nights, it takes a lot to impress at this stage. Lucky for us, Milan did just that. With bare-faced looks taking center stage once again, we saw plenty of shading, subtle lip colors, and ladylike flushed cheeks — the perfect ingredients for a low-maintenance spring look. Here are a few of our favorites from the week:

Emilio Pucci
Every girl's done it by accident but now's the time for the flip-over to be the intended look. Favored by boho girls and supermodels alike, the deep part paired with the effortless looking toss is a luxe way to dress up natural hair.

One of the biggest beauty trends to come out of Milan is the rise of the naturally enhanced brow. Sharply defined brows have been trendy for the past few years but we love this well shaped, but not overwhelmingly filled, brow.

Minimalist makeup is often seen as boring but we love this look for its clean base and bright punch of color. By grooming the brows, curling the lashes, and leaving the skin as clean as possible, a tinted balm or gloss can take the spotlight.

Just because a look is minimal doesn't mean it can't work for evening. With a petal pink lip and glowing eye, this look would have no problem up against a cocktail dress.

For those of you looking for a bit more color for next spring, look to this look which manages to keep bright green and pink looking minimal. We love the placement of the liner on the eye — just peeking through the crease.

Alberta Ferretti
This look may not look like much but it's all about the invisible makeup. It's proof that flawless skin, groomed brows, and well maintained skin and lips can create a statement-making look on their own.

Another strong trend out of Milan is the grunge smoky eye. We love how the liner is smudged but not messy which gives the girls a slightly haunted bad girl look.

Gucci
We always expect something sexy from Gucci and we weren't disappointed with this glossy copper eye. Paired with contoured skin and a bare lip, this light variation on the slept-in smoky eye is perfect for spring.

It wouldn't be Milan if we didn't see at lease one retro-glam beauty look. We love the use of orange, in place of traditional red, to make the look more modern.

Last but not least, this look is proof again that we'll be reaching for pink shadows come spring. This is hardly the first place we've seen the look this season but it's one of the best. It's hard to make a pastel bold but this saturated color does just that.
