Makeup artist Peter Philips adhered platinum silver sequins along the upper lash line and even encrusted lashes for an added dazzling dose of brilliantly bedazzled eyes. With what looked to be like tiny mirror shards, the adorned eyelids created a spectacle that stayed true to Chanel’s beautiful balance between wearable and over-the-top.

The smoky eye reinvented was executed flawlessly on the models at John Galliano. Instead of the typical noir-smudged lids that define this dramatic look, Galliano recreated this runway staple using a gray wash of silver shadow that extended from the lash lines to brows. Envisioned by Diane Kendal for NARS, the look was said to mirror the sun’s reflection as she layered brilliant midnight blue shadow with gold holographic glitter encrusting the eyes. The contrast of the bold blue shade and chunky metallic flecks meant a beyond gorgeous glam look for evening this season.
