While you’re more likely to catch Natasha Koifman running a busy downtown PR empire, this season the Toronto-based publicist is moonlighting as a jewelry designer. In partnership with local jeweler !XAM diamonds (the !X is apparently pronounced with a “click”), Koifman has designed two limited-edition ring-to-wrist bracelets, with proceeds from sales being donated to Artists for Peace and Justice.
The first piece is silver with rubies, retailing at $350, while the second is rose gold (my favourite), adorned with black diamonds and retailing for $1300. “The ring-to-wrist design is especially meaningful to me,” says Koifman. “It signifies the importance of connection — the connection with oneself and with others.”
All of the stones are ethically sourced from Thailand and South Africa, while each chain is handmade and made to order. They were a big hit at TIFF were I first caught a glimpse of the pieces, not just at the offices of NKPR, but also on the wrists of Mila Kunis and Caitlin Cronenberg. Also joining that list is Koifman herself, who never takes off her custom namesake designs.
You can bag your own ring-to-wrist bracelet right here, or gift to a special someone this holiday season with the knowledge that you’re also giving back to a good cause.
