Jeremy Scott‘s debut collection for the Italian brand, Moschino, took on the fast fashion phenomenon. For Fall 2014, the American designer created a range of clothing and accessories that spoofed the McDonald’s brand iconography: red-and-yellow items were emblazoned with warped golden arches, like an iPhone case modeled after a small order of fries in bright red packaging. As befits a fast fashion-inspired collection, items went on sale almost immediately.
Although the Moschino Fall 2014 runway show was pure camp, the corresponding ad campaign is anything but. The Italian label tapped supermodel Linda Evangelista and top photographer Steven Meisel, a dream team. The resulting shot, which was posted to Vogue Spain‘s website earlier today, is sleek and luxurious, the garish McDonald’s palette muted with a black-and-white color scheme.
