You never know what to expect when it comes to haute couture beauty. Some of the most outrageous fashion houses often play it safe, allowing for the exquisite and intricate garments to tell the story, but sometimes brands subscribe to the “more is more” mentality and put on a real show. This past week we saw a bit of both and even a few looks we’d be willing to rock ourselves.

Elie Saab
This twisted pretzel chignon looks tricky to execute, but you can't help but admire the slicked-back hair, shiny finish and modern twist on a classic style.
Christian Dior
The moment this show happened, the world was a twitter about the gorgeous set, princess dresses and overall fanciful finish, but we love this simple beauty look.
Giambattista Valli
With skin like this, who needs haute couture? This look is proof that there's no such thing as too much highlighter and is perfect for summer. Just pop on some sunnies and let your skin do the talking.
Armani Privé
It would be easy for this look to go overboard, and we can only imagine the smudging potential, but we like the juxtaposition of the slightly messy hair with the subtly smudged winged shadow. It's a perfect mix between polished and undone.
Valentino
Let's be honest — this is every girl's ideal post-gym hair. You may not expect to find post-workout inspiration at haute couture week, but this simple, elegant 'do is one we'll definitely be trying to replicate.
Chanel
It wouldn't be couture if we didn't mention the Chanel beauty look, and while the choppy pile of hair up top may not be super wearable, the heather gray wash of shadow certainly is.
Bouchra Jarrar
We've seen quite a bit of the wind-tunnel look, from the runways to the red carpets in the last year, and while its sustainability as a red carpet trend is questionable, there's no doubt that paired with youthful, glowing skin and bleached brows, it packs a punch on the runway.
Versace
Where Armani took a classic look and roughed it up a bit, Versace took that same look and turned the dial way up. We love the peacock-toned wing and sculpted cheek, but would suggest picking and choosing what you steal for real life.
