How Deep is Your Plunge?
-
Miranda Kerr in Louis Vuitton
Miranda may not have been walking the runway at Louis Vuitton during Paris Fashion Week, but she made a statement nonetheless in the designer’s long-sleeve LBD with a dramatically plunging V. The supermodel knows how to do both sexy and classy, however, and kept this look firmly in the latter category with chic hair and makeup, and not an inch of skin showing elsewhere.

Cara Delevingne in Balmain
Plunging necklines were the hottest trend at the CR Fashion Book Issue No. 5 launch, and Cara led the way in a barely-there Balmain jumpsuit with sheer striped trousers and a top scarcely wide enough to censor the important bits. The look was shown on the runway worn with a bandeau top, but the "it" girl chose to go without.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Balmain
Rosie gave Cara a run for her money at the same event, looking confident in another striped Balmain jumpsuit with a slit that went almost to her navel. The leggy model also eschewed the runway’s bandeau in favor of baring it all in this disco-ready piece.

Selena Gomez in Louis Vuitton
Young actress Selena seems to still be making a point of shedding her Disney image, this time in a daring black satin jumpsuit by Louis Vuitton.

Miranda Kerr in Emilio Pucci
Miranda joined in the trend at the same event, wearing a racy black Emilio Pucci dress with lacy inserts and a revealingly low neckline.

Kim Kardashian in Givenchy
It’s no surprise that Kim was part of the plunge craze at the CR Fashion Book launch. She showed off her famous figure in a boob-baring Givenchy suit with a comically-oversized brooch on the lapel doing nothing to detract from the look-at-me cleavage.

Kim Kardashian in Lanvin
Earlier in the week, Kim revealed even more of her assets in the front row at Lanvin during Paris Fashion Week, strategically leaving her blazer open over a feathered micro-mini and not much else. It was her and husband Kanye West’s tardiness to the show, not her scandalous outfit, however, that drew boos from the rest of the audience.

Cara Delevingne in Burberry Prorsum
Cara’s look at the Burberry Prorsum exhibition during London Fashion Week was buttoned-up at first glance, but the model added her signature edge to the designer’s conservative midnight blue suit by going braless underneath.

Julianne Moore in Altuzarra
Though most women her age would probably shy away at the thought of such a low neckline, Julianne gave a lesson in how to do a tasteful plunge at the premiere of Still Alice. The actress’ otherwise-modest Altuzarra dress was gathered into a bow detail under the bust.

Emmy Rossum in Michael Kors
At the Young Hollywood book launch, Emmy displayed uncharacteristic vamp in a black Michael Kors Resort 2015 dress with a plunging halter neckline. The dress’ va-va-voom top was balanced by a full, ruffled skirt, which kept the look out of trashy territory.

Katherine Waterston in Altuzarra
Katherine wore another plunging Altuzarra look at the New York Film Festival premiere of Inherent Vice. Perhaps because her proportions are less attention-grabbing than some of the other cleavage-barers on this list, her tailored tuxedo vest and wide-leg pants seemed to have just the right amount of sex appeal without going over-the-top.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Balmain
Rosie’s white Balmain dress at the Coca-Cola Life Launch event featured a cape top with a deep V neckline that looked precariously held together by a tiny thread.

Rita Ora in Nicholas Oakwell Couture
Rita was ready to party in her Nicholas Oakwell Couture jumpsuit at the GQ Men of the Year Awards after-party. If the hard-to-pull-off look’s head-to-toe beaded embellishments weren’t attention-grabbing enough, the singer showed off ample cleavage in its deep plunge.

Daisy Lowe in Barbara Casasola
Daisy created a spectacle at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in a menswear-inspired (but decidedly feminine) jumpsuit by Barbara Casasola. The look put both the model’s front and side cleavage on display, and apparently even more, when later in the night the tailored jumpsuit ripped!

Jessie J in Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier
At the GQ Men of the Year Awards, Jessie turned heads in a boudoir-inspired vintage number by Jean Paul Gaultier. The slinky emerald dress featured a thigh-high slit and plunging cowl-neck, which draped almost to the singer’s bellybutton.

Cristiana Capotondi in Marni
Italian actress Cristiana proved that the deep plunge doesn’t always have to be racy. Her abstract floral patterned Marni gown at the Hungry Hearts premiere during the Venice Film Festival was a refined take on the trend, balancing allure and elegance.

Julianne Hough in Georges Hobeika Couture
The expertly crafted illusion panel on the white Georges Hobeika Couture jumpsuit that Julianne wore to illuminate the Empire State Building was a prime example of a sophisticated plunge — thankfully, because the event was for charity. The slit was cut to the suit's waistband, but was so narrow and well-fit that it left more of an impression of intrigue than overexposure.
