Get Rid of Foundation Stains on Clothes
To get rid of powder foundation: Mix a simple solution of equal parts white vinegar and water and gently blot the stain. But don't rub it in!
To get rid of liquid foundation: For oil-free foundations, blot with shaving cream. For oil-based varieties, pretreat the stain with dish detergent, then throw it in the washer on the cold cycle.

Remove Stains
If you're at a party and your favorite shirt gets stained, order a vodka neat, dip a clean cloth into the liquor and dab on the spot to remove the stain. Then rinse thoroughly in the ladies' room. That should prevent permanent damage.

De-pill Sweaters
To de-pill a sweater, first make sure to wash it inside-out. Once it's dry, lay the item flat and hold it down with one hand. With your other hand, softly "shave" the sweater with a disposable razor using short strokes. Clean up the excess with either a lint brush or tape.

Stretch Shoes
In order to stretch your shoes at home, fill up two Ziploc bags with water, just shy of halfway. Remove as much air as possible, seal the bags and place one of each into the toes of your shoes. Freeze overnight. Pull out the bags or break the ice with the blunt end of a knife, then remove. Do not let the water melt in the shoes. Repeat if necessary.

Remove Odors from Jeans
After you wear your jeans, toss them in a plastic bag, seal the bag and store in your freezer overnight. This will eliminate most of the odor-causing bacteria that gets trapped in denim.

Un-Shrink Clothes
Reversing the effects of shrinkage on cotton clothes requires a bottle of Johnson's baby shampoo and two towels.
1. Fill a sink with lukewarm water, add a cap-size amount of shampoo and let the shrunken item soak to relax the fibers. After 20 minutes, pull it out of the sink and gently squeeze the water out. Do not rinse it!
2. Lay a towel flat on the floor, then place the item flat on top of the towel. Roll the clothing in the towel to soak up access liquid.
3. Finally, lay out the other dry towel with your item on top of it. Softly pull at the material to stretch it out, then let it air dry. Continue to monitor the item and stretch it as it dries.

Make Anti-Slip Hangers
Instead of spending beaucoup bucks on felt hangers, create traction on your existing hangers by wrapping a pipe cleaner around the edge where the clothing sits. A rubber band will do the same thing, and so will using a hot glue gun in a zig-zag pattern to create grip.

Break in Leather Jackets
When you need to soften stiff leather, wear your jacket during a light rain or spritz it with water. Make sure to move around and bend your arms as it dries so the leather will ease up and form to your body.

Hide Bra Straps
Hide your bra straps under a racer-back top with nothing but a paperclip. Just snake one side in at a time, and you'll be good to go.

Remove Wrinkles Without an Iron
The easiest way to remove wrinkles without an iron is to dampen your clothes where the wrinkles are, smooth out the fabric with your hands and blow dry the area while holding it taut. You can also use a straightening hair iron in lieu of a regular one. It works like a charm.

Re-Dye Old Jeans for Under $5
To make faded jeans look new again, take a trip to your local fabric store and pick up two boxes of powered Rit dye in the shade of your choice. Then pull on a pair of latex gloves and follow the steps below:
1. In a glass measuring cup, add four cups hot water, 1 cup table salt and two powered packets. Stir with a metal spoon.
2. Wet your jeans in warm water, either in your tub or a large sink. Then throw them in the washer.
3. Set your washer on the hottest and longest cycle and press start.
4. Carefully pour the dye mix into the area where your laundry detergent would go.
5. Once all the dye is in the cycle, pour four cups of hot water into the same compartment.
6. When the cycle is done, wash your jeans twice with detergent on a warm water cycle. If the water runs clear, it's safe to dry your jeans.
NOTE: It's important to thoroughly clean your washing machine afterward to prevent staining.

Waterproof Shoes
To waterproof your canvas shoes at home, pick up any original, un-dyed beeswax (usually found at hardware stores) and rub it over the entire cloth surface. Use a blow dryer to melt the wax and "seal" the material. And let your shoes set for at least five minutes before you test them out.
