Well, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia is off to a good start. An angry local stormed Ellery’s MBFWA 2015 opening show last night, April 12, causing quite the scene in front of the country’s most esteemed fashionistas at Eveleigh’s Carriageworks.
Kym Ellery was wrapping up her highly anticipated 20-minute show when an annoyed neighbour made his way through the VIP section, the media pit, and then onto the runway to tell Ellery who’s boss.
According to the The Sydney Morning Herald, he said, “You have no respect for the local community, the noise is way too loud, this is a disgrace.” Kym wasn’t injured, spotting the man from the end of the runway and moving aside before anything worse could happen on her big night.

As for whether or not this unnamed man will be back crashing further shows at MBFWA, security told The Sydney Morning Herald, “We don’t think he’ll be any more trouble.” Let’s hope not, because the shows are set to be bigger, louder and at later time slots throughout the week.
