Any Bella Hadid fan worth his or her salt is well acquainted with her best friend since childhood and frequent travel companion Jesse Jo Stark. Stark, a pop punk singer, is the progeny of Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark, co-founders of Los Angeles-based rocker-chic label Chrome Hearts. (We still remember watching Bella and Jesse celebrate the label’s 2014 Miami Design District concept store opening many moons ago, before Bells became the third most in-demand cover model on the planet.) Jesse’s been designing clothes since she was only six and already has a Chrome Hearts collection to show for it. Now, Hadid is following in her BFF’s footsteps. According to a recent ‘gram by the Victoria’s Secret rookie, a #chromeheartsxbella line is in the works.

“So damn excited! You have no idea what’s coming,” Hadid captioned her great Instagram unveil, in which she rocks a (presumably self-designed) Gothic-printed tee. “My new collection with Chrome Hearts, designed by me, shot by my angel mother Laurie Lynn Stark. I CAN’T wait for you all to see what we’ve made!”
The accessories and apparel label, originally founded in 1988, boasts its share of big-name collaborations, including a crystal collection with Baccarat, a partnership with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation and design projects with Comme des Garçons, Rick Owens and Gareth Pugh. It’s a natural pairing for Bella, who likely owes her well-documented love of pendant chokers and well-tailored leather to her longtime proximity to the Starks.
While it was only a matter of time before she made the traditional leap from Instagram royalty to fashion designer, it’s just so Bella to start with a brand that’s close to her (far from chrome) heart. No word yet as to launch dates, price points or what exactly the range will include — we predict vintage-inspired tees and punky jewelry — but we’ll keep you updated as the details roll in. And for those who want to stay ahead of the game, follow @chromeheartsxbella, the line’s dedicated Instagram account, which, at time of publishing, is already nearing 3,000 followers, obv.
