The inevitable has come to pass. Kim Kardashian West, muse to Pat McGrath, mother of contouring (and later, nontouring), has partnered with her makeup mogul half-sister on an upcoming Kylie Cosmetics release.
Cross your fingers and implore the makeup gods that she and Kylie have an actual co-branded product in store for us, that this isn’t just another elaborate build-up to a Kanye-scored makeup tutorial (Pat McGrath Labs, we’re looking at you).
We have reason to be optimistic. After all, Khloé and Kylie’s holiday collaboration featured four original products. As for Kim x Kylie, all signs point to a neutral Lip Kit or gloss. In an Instagram video teasing the collab (above), the (seemingly nude) sisters apply generous amounts of lip color to their highlighted, bold-browed, glossy-lidded faces. The two are styled exactly alike, in accordance with Kim’s post-Paris #aesthetic (i.e. center-parted, pin-straight black hair, golden skin, natural-ish makeup).
Thus far, all we can say for certain is that the “KKW X KYLIE COSMETICS” joint is “coming soon.” We’ll update this post as more info becomes available.
