We have been waiting for what feels like an eternity for this Gisele Bündchen photoshoot to drop. Our forums have been in suspense ever since candids surfaced back in December of the Brazilian bombshell on location in Rio de Janeiro with photographer Mario Testino. The wait is finally over with the release of Vogue Paris’ double June/July 2017 issue, marking Gisele’s ninth cover appearance for the French fashion bible. Basking in the warm Rio sun, Gisele lounges poolside wearing a cobalt blue ruffled Gucci dress and a pair of Balenciaga booties.

Immediately after the cover broke, forum members made their feelings clear. “OMG!!! Gorgeous!! It’s an unpredictable cover shot but it absolutely works!” applauded MON.
“It’s absolutely stunning. I love it!” confessed mepps.
“This just works for me! The fact they went with such an unconventional cover shot takes guts from [Emmanuelle] Alt et co! Also Gisele not being fully in your face makes me want to lean in, and ask for her spread! Call it Voyeuristic impulse, but it’s well used here,” Miss Dalloway voiced.
Also pleasantly surprised was Lola701. “Flawless, eye-catching and kinda unexpected. I love that!” she praised.
“Love it! I like it that the star is the whole image not the model in particular,” admired Les_ Sucettes.
Fotoholic24 couldn’t have agreed more, replying, “I like that too, they are selling a mood, a moment, not just a ‘look’. Makes me want to be there, next to her!”
“It’s stunning, and it’s the best cover of Gisele in years!” exclaimed a delighted narcyza.
But not everyone’s jaw hit the floor. “No, sorry. Does nothing for me. This type of composition can be more effective with a professional art direction. I don’t think it will be striking enough on the newsstand, but I do like the vibrant colors,” stated Benn98.
