Harry Styles: One Direction heartthrob has fully evolved into Harry Styles: solo artist and budding fashion icon. Each stop on the press tour for Styles’ self-titled debut solo album yields a new, breathtaking lewk. For the Today show, Styles wore a millennial-pink suit made by the same bespoke tailor who created Bianca Jagger’s wedding outfit. For his Saturday Night Live shoot, Styles favored a Melania-esque Gucci pussy-bow blouse. (As Styles told Rolling Stone, “Pink is the only true rock ‘n’ roll color.”)
Styles’ uncanny ability to pull off even the most adventurous of looks has not been lost on James Corden. In the newest Carpool Karaoke segment, Corden turns to Styles (finally a solo passenger) and asks, “Can we talk about fashion for a moment?” This, of course, leads to the two playing several rounds of “Who Wore It Better?” Argyle sweaters, gold lamé tees and see-through tanks are exchanged — Styles wins every time.
