While we try to erase Vogue Turkey’s October cover from memory, the title’s November issue hits newsstands with a (much-improved) holiday-appropriate cover starring Emily DiDonato. Adding to her impressive track record of strong Vogue covers, the model delivers all the glitz and glamour we require this time of year. The American beauty poses in a Chanel dress with a bold red lip and diamond jewelry, shot in front of the bright lights of the New York City skyline by Miguel Reveriego.

For most of our forums members, however, something seemed a little… off. “Emily’s beauty does not shine here. Her lower face and neck look too tense which ruins the otherwise good cover,” evaluated gazebo upon seeing the cover.
“Not the best angle for that beautiful face,” chimed in tigerrouge.
“Yeah, really not fond of the angle here but I do love how everything else looks and feels for a November cover. Plus, after last month’s disaster with Natasha Poly, a bit of glamour done right is a much-welcomed sight,” vogue28 replied.
“It’s so festive. Could be a nice cover for December,” admired narcyza.
Benn98 shared the same sentiments. “I think I like it, but for Vogue Turkey. I’d tone the makeup down a bit, and the dress looks very modest, but Emily looks great overall. This would’ve been ideal for December,” he agreed.
Bobby153 loved everything about it: “So happy to see Emily. That face is just undeniably gorgeous. I honestly thought she was done other than her Maybelline contract, what with her enrolling in college but it’s so nice to see her on another Vogue cover. It does indeed have a very winter nights sort of a vibe to it. Here’s hoping for many more covers for Emily!”
