Actress Emilia Clarke doesn’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to fashion magazine covers. Whether she’s fronting Vogue China, US Glamour or UK Harper’s Bazaar, members of our forums frequently complain that her beauty fails to translate to print. Has US Harper’s Bazaar managed to break the streak? For the magazine’s December 2017/January 2018 issue, the current face of Dolce & Gabbana’s ‘The One‘ fragrance makes a triumphant return to the cover, wearing the Italian fashion label on the flower-filled newsstand cover (below) shot on location at Kew Gardens in London, England by photographer Mariano Vivanco.

Major kudos to Bazaar this month, because our forum members were beyond thrilled. “Her best cover yet, and it was the last magazine I’d have thought to get it right! She looks flawless, I can somewhat stand the floral overload, and I like how the cover lines frame the image for once. What a splendid image to not only end a year filled with power women on their cover, but also a promising start to 2018!” raved Benn98.
“Instead of being in character, it’s nice to see her look like herself – and look well – and as I say that, I’ve realized the only US magazine I consistently buy these days is this one,” noted tigerrouge.

In agreement over how wonderful everything looked was Miss Dalloway. “Stunning cover for both, Emilia and HB, and we all know both have plenty of bad ones on the record. This is surprisingly lovely,” she admired.
“I love Emilia but TBH when I was clicking on this link I was expecting the worst…but this is honestly lovely. Emilia looks beautiful and her eyes are utterly gorgeous. I’m happily surprised with this!” applauded bluestar.
