Now that the haute couture shows are all wrapped up, it’s time to break down the best looks of the season. And per usual, many of the most dazzling dresses are practically begging for a walk down the aisle. That’s not surprising since the haute couture collections supply more wedding dress inspiration than a stack of bridal magazines.
The dresses this time around were all about unconventional silhouettes and touches of color. If you’re sticking with traditional white, brands like Chanel, Christian Dior and Stéphane Rolland have got you covered. Looking to turn a few heads? Schiaparelli’s colorful gowns came complete with pink feathers or floral embroidery fit for a spring garden ceremony. Elie Saab’s wedding-worthy creations were a soft taupe, making for a surprisingly bold backdrop. From iridescent rainbows to reinvented blazer dresses courtesy of Balmain and Givenchy, there was plenty of out-of-the-box inspo on offer.
