Before we break down the best Fall 2020 hairstyles from London, Milan and Paris, we need to disclose one important fact. The majority won’t work off the runway. That’s because a majority of hairstylists decided to make models’ manes a central part of the best beauty looks. We’re talking everything from colored strands (and parts) to larger-than-life wigs and extensions.
What are our favorite only-on-the-runway looks?
We love hairstylist Sam McKnight’s colorful feathered parts at Dries Van Noten. Ditto for the silver frosted finger waves at Erdem. Then there were the spray-painted locks at Emilio Pucci. And the contrasting hair extensions over at Rick Owens were crimped for extra volume.
Updos more your thing?
You’ll love the wrapped low chignons at Altuzarra. The Star Wars-inspired braided ‘dos at Fendi were pretty spectacular solo, but those reverse padded headbands made the ‘dos out of this world. Speaking of hair accessories, Christian Dior opted for silky scarves, while black ribbon headbands tied in bows were trending at Giambattista Valli. (Some models even received a little hair bling.)
And that’s just for starters. See the slideshow above to relive the best Fall 2020 hairstyles from the three European fashion capitals.
