Sara Moonves continues to flex her ability to secure the crème de la crème of the world of entertainment for W Magazine‘s front covers. It has been a Hollywood extravaganza, thus far, throughout 2024 with the likes of Margot Robbie and Jodie Foster starring on the magazine’s first offering of the new year while the likes of America Ferrera stars on the currect directors issue. W‘s first-ever digital offering also features someone who requires no introduction: Beyoncé. The absolute tour de force of the music industry heads to the ranch and is profiled by famed American photographer Pamela Hanson. Moonves herself reported for styling duties, dressing the Cowboy Carter songstress in a coat fresh off the runway of Seán McGirr‘s debut Alexander McQueen collection in the scenic cover shot.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“I’m getting more of a Ruth Negga vibe than Beyoncé here,” shared justaguy.
“She looks unrecognizable – and not in a good way,” Marc10 chimed in.
Prylvi pointed out: “The blur on her face is horrendous!”
Lola701 wasn’t buying it either, admitting: “It’s quite terrible…”
“The editing on her face! Beyoncé doesn’t even look like herself. This is horrible,” voiced RMDV.
“She’s not chic. Stop trying to make her happen as a fashionable woman. She’s not,” stated MModa.
“Couldn’t care less about Beyoncé but I like the look of this, way more than I did the covers of CR Fashion Book,” confessed vogue28. “The photography from Pamela Hanson is a little lackluster, but I do like the vibrancy, and that huge Alexander McQueen works great in the cover photograph.”
