Miley Cyrus Poses for Tyler Mitchell as the Face of Gucci’s Flora Gorgeous Orchid Fragrance

Since signing on the dotted line in January 2023, Sabato De Sarno has meant business in his attempt to overhaul Gucci – from streamlining the silhouette of the Gucci customer to the photographer’s De Sarno selects for the brand’s campaign imagery. The Italian designer, however, is keeping Miley Cyrus on the books with the unveiling of the Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid campaign for 2024.

The American singer-songwriter and Flowers hitmaker first joined the storied Italian luxury fashion house as brand ambassador in 2021, back when Alessandro Michele was at the helm. De Sarno called upon Tyler Mitchell to capture Cyrus as the face of the scent which boasts notes of Vanilla Duo, Vanilla Orchid and Ozonic Accord. In the charming print campaign image, the Grammy Award-winning artist poses in a look from De Sarno’s debut Spring 2024 collection, surrounded by floral foliage and under the clear blue skies of Los Angeles, California.

“Ew, on every aspect. Pure eyesore,” voiced a deeply unimpressed yslforever.

“Sabato clothes, Alessandro bottle and packaging…” NoInvite noted.

“It’s very hard to top the Abbey Lee Kershaw Gucci Flora campaign from 15 years ago,” stated TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu.

Also not exactly best pleased with the end result was Kite: “They could have made Miley Cyrus something a bit more custom, instead of something commercial. Even if the grey jumper was in cream like the flowers.”

“The floral landscape is gorgeous and I don’t mind the inclusion of the Hollywood sign but that look on Miley Cyrus is atrocious and so drastically wrong for the campaign, and the setting. There’s a massive disconnect between the two. Sabato De Sarno should’ve created something custom, and not some random look from the runway,” echoed vogue28.

“Everything works except for Miley Cyrus’ face,” Jacque Marcel chimed in.
