Florence Pugh Pulls off No-Pants Trend With a Twist

One can leave it to Florence Pugh to make bold statements with her styling at black-tie events. The tradition continued at the New York premiere of her upcoming project, “We Live in Time.” The Midsommar-famed actress arrived on the red carpet alongside co-star Andrew Garfield in a lacy, delicate dress that accentuated her appearance. Her styling was a perfect marriage of gothic and chic.

Directed by John Crowley, the romance drama portrays Pugh as Almut, a cancer patient who falls for Tobias (played by Andrew Garfield), a recent divorcee. Everything seems to be going well until the limitation set by time threatens what they hold dear. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6 and has garnered positive responses from critics.

Florence Pugh selected a black body-hugging Christian Dior dress and dramatized it even further by adding a black leather belt at the waist. The 28-year-old actor opted for a monochromatic trend as she kept the front unbuttoned, allowing viewers to peek at her black triangle bralette. A pair of towering heels in the same color put more accent to her attire. Her stylist put a boho spin on her hair, which was styled in an untidy fashion. Smokey eyes, nude lips, and mismatched gold and silver earrings by Dior, with celestial bodies carved on them, completed her head-turning look.

Garfield, her love interest in the film, kept his look relatively simple. He looked dashing in a double-breasted suit by Louis Vuitton.

As reported by W Magazine, Pugh got emotional at the film’s Toronto debut. She recalled the amazing experience while shooting the film. Andrew Garfield expressed that the film explores the themes of trust and the act of letting go.
