Nicole Scherzinger Reveals Fake Blood Trick in Time for Halloween

Nicole Scherzinger’s Broadway debut as Norma Desmond, sporting a riveting look with fake blood, is perfect for Halloween 2024. On October 20, Scherzinger received a six-minute standing ovation for her incredible performance of Norma Desmond in the revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Sunset Boulevard.” Later during the show, the former member of The Pussycat Dolls had red fake blood oozing out of her face in the black-and-white setting, which made the finale more captivating. Her execution of the role soon turned into an iconic Halloween costume, and Scherzinger now reveals how to create it.

Nicole Scherzinger reveals tips on how to make fake blood look real

Nicole Scherzinger has a couple of budget-friendly tips on how to make fake blood look real, and she is willing to spill the beans. When Broadway’s Paul Wontorek asks Scherzinger about some pointers to create the “bloody bloody” look of Norma Desmond she pulled off only a few days ago, she reveals one can “do it in $15 bucks or something.” Wontorek believes Scherzinger’s performance of Norma for her Broadway debut is one of the most important looks for Halloween 2024.

While dropping a list of basic requirements to create the fake blood look for Halloween, Nicole Scherzinger claims, “All you need is a black slip.” She also clarifies that the look doesn’t require shoes but suggests one can “put some slides on just to be safe to get from one place to the next.” The 46-year-old adds, “You don’t need any jewelry,” referring to Norma Desmond’s character who doesn’t wear any “because she’s a sleepwalker.”

The next step in creating Norma Desmond’s iconic look is the fake blood, which is also the most crucial part. Scherzinger urges Halloween enthusiasts to “find your best blood,” disclosing a little trick to use “corn syrup” to create the perfect bloody look. The Broadway star then explains that corn syrup has a “really rich consistency.” This helps in dressing the fake blood “across the clavicle and the chesticles,” making it appear as real as it can.

Finally, Nicole Scherzinger’s last tip for the Halloween look is to take the fake blood in your palms and “put it in your mouth.” She then slides her hands down to the neck and the chest, showing her way to slather the blood all over the body. “There you go. That’s your Norma,” she concludes.
