When it came to the beauty look at the Chanel Haute Couture show for Fall 2010, it was all about the lip. The deep red – Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Rivoli – that was used on all of the models in the show helped make the maroons, navys, browns and other moody colors Karl Lagerfeld presented in his collection really pop.
To offset the strong saturated lips, flesh-colored eye make-up was applied. The delicate softness of the models’ eyes and complexion helped keep the focus on the fashions, in all of their intricately detailed glory.
The Chanel make-up look was created by Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of Chanel Make-up. To re-create the look at home, try the products that Philips used.
