Shading around the eye is an essential element in creating dimension, but too often the lighter colors play second to the contours. This look really highlights the top of the eye without looking too washed out. To get this look at home, try using a slate or dusty purple color in the crease rather than a dark brown or taupe.

Another key trend out of Paris was the statement feature. Many designers highlighted one area of the face and left the rest clean. These colored lashes are perfect for day or night and add a bit of something special to an otherwise minimal look.

Looks like this are so modern but also so easy to recreate. By using a versatile cream product, you can get this look in a matter of minutes. Blend it well on the cheeks, concentrate the color on the eye lids, and mix it with a gloss on the lips. It’s the ultimate time saver.

Now you might be thinking this belongs in the crazy category, but this is a great way to play with color in your hair without commitment. Each model’s tri-toned hair complemented their natural tone and this wolfish dark eye can’t be ignored either.

More and more designers are putting orange eyes on the runway and this look is a great starting off point. The light wash of tangerine paired with the bold, matte lip allows the color to shine without overpowering the face.

It’s clear that two-toned lips are a trend at this point, but it’s difficult to figure out how to wear it in real life. This version, which could be achieved with a matte lip pencil and concealer, is a simple way to get the trend.

The Brit-girls in Paris theme to this season’s Chloe collection was highlighted by the makeup. Opting for a more low-key look than is seen on most London girls, what was remarkable about this look was the lip. This peachy-nude color managed to work on each of the girls’ skin tones.

This is another case of highlighting one key feature. While I don’t think that brow-jazzle is going to take off mainstream, the flawless, matte skin here deserves recognition.

Smoky eyes are standard, but this feathered metallic version is a step above the rest. Try adding a bronze or gold shadow to the center of the lid to add depth and shimmer to a normal look.
