All the looks were great, but two in particular stood out: Line Knitwear and Arthur Mendonça. With a bit of help from Grace Lee, we can now look like we just stepped off the runway. Read below for some tips from Grace Lee herself, and Katie Green, Brand Manager for Maybelline Canada, on how to replicate these looks.
Line Knitwear
EYE: Grace focused on intensifying the eye for this look by keeping a rectangular shape in mind as she drew a line straight across the lid with Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black. She extended the line further past the natural lash line and squared the edge by bringing the liner down to meet the edge of the eye. Expertwear Eyeshadow Quads in Modern Metallics and Stylish Smokes were used together to help blend the eyeliner into the crease. Color Tattoo by Eyestudio in Too Cool was applied in the crease of the eye as well as under the eyebrow to give the illusion of a wider eye. Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer was used under the eye and Great Lash Mascara in Very Black and Clear was used on the eyelashes to finish off the daring look.
CHEEK: Grace dusted Fit Me Bronzer on the cheekbones and also dusted the bronzer on the temples. She continued to apply in a circular motion until the cheekbones looked defined.
LIP: Superstay 14hr Lipstick in Beige for Good, Grace used a neutral colour on the lips and applied it sparingly with her finger.
Arthur Mendonça
EYE: Grace began by lining the top and bottom of the eye with a heavy layer of Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Blackest Black and winged the liner outwards past the outer corner of the eye. She added Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Brown to line the upper lash, and Unstoppable Eyeliner in Onyx to line the inner rims of the bottom lash line. A generous amount of Expertwear Eyeshadow in Nutmeg was brushed onto the eyelid and extended slightly above the crease, and Expertwear Eyeshadow in Night Sky was added closer to the lashline to intensify the eye. Grace used heavy coats of Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara in Blackest Black on the top and bottom lashes, and highlighted the inner corners of the eye by mixing Baby Lips in Quenched with Eye Studio Color Tattoo Cream Gel Shadow in Too Cool.
CHEEK: Grace again mixed Eye Studio Color Tattoo Cream Gel Shadow in Too Cool with Baby Lips in Quenched to highlight the cheeks by dabbing the combination along the top of the cheekbones. Fit Me Bronzer in Deep Bronze was used as a contour, and Grace applied a generous amount on and under the cheeks.
LIP: Keeping the look overtly dramatic, Grace used a small amount of Eye Studio Color Tattoo Cream Gel Shadow in Painted Purple on the lips, then finished by glossing them up with Shine Sensational Lipgloss in Minty Sheer.
