Get Ashley Greene’s Updated Classic Beauty Look at Home

Who: Ashley Greene

Where: San Diego Comic-Con 2012

Why we like it: It’s no surprise that Ashley Greene came out with a stellar beauty look at Comic-Con. The starlet’s red carpet appearances are often puncuated with consistantly beautiful hair and makeup. This look in particular is another that walks the line between red carpet glamour and daytime aproppriate and the colors work perfectly with her Snow White looks.

How to get it at home: Start by applying a foundation that allows you to build coverage where you need it, such as Amazing Cosmetics’ Velvet Mineral Liquid Custom Finish Foundation SPF 15, $36, and apply a sheer layer all over the face and build it where you need for an even, but not caked on, finish. Apply a creamy concealer where needed and set your base with a light powder, such as Laura Mercier’s Loose Setting Powder, $34, concentrating on the center of the face.

Ashley has very well-defined brows in this look, so opt for a pencil, such as Anastasia’s Brow Wiz, $20, rather than a powder which gives a much softer finish. Moving on to the eyes, cover the lid and lower lash line with a beige shimmery shadow, such as Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Shadow in Pearly Beige, $20. This will give you a nice even, luminous base as well as help adhere any powders you place over it. Next, go in with a bronze shadow through the crease and a darker brown or black shadow across the lash line, both of which can be found in the Illamasqua Neutral Palette, $42.50. Use a gel liner, such as Stila’s Smudge Crayon Waterproof Primer + Shadow + Liner, $22, and line across the upper lashline and onto the tight line. Finish off your eyes with false lashes if you’re going for the full, night-out-worthy look, or mascara for a more daytime aproppriate look.

In lieu of blush, apply a light bronzing powder, such as Dior’s Diorskin Nude Tan Healthy Glow Enhancing Powder, $55, concentrating on the backs of the cheeks, the temples, and the jawline. This will add a subtle contour without the heavy look of bronzer. To get Ashley’s tomato red lips, try layering an orange-red lipstick, such as NARS’ Lipstick in Heat Wave, $24, with a shimmery gloss, such as Urban Decay’s Stardust Sparkling Lip Gloss in Space Cowboy, 19.
