Where: Berlin International Film Festival
Why we like it: Now that fashion month is well and truly upon us, it’s important to have a few go-to looks that are easy to wear but still look sophisticated enough to take you from a runway show to dinner. This look is simple but elegant and the proof is that even with such short hair, Charlize wears the look, it doesn’t wear her.
How to get it at home: Not all of us are as lucky as Charlize when it comes to skin tone and texture, but for this look, you want to look as naturally flawless and radiant as possible. Start with a BB cream, such as Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Beauty Balm Broad Spectrum SPF 20, $34, and layer it with a shimmering highlighter, such as Hourglass’ Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light, $45, on the high points of the face.
Fill in your brows with a soft pencil or powder but be sure to run them through with a spooly brush or even your finger to soften any hard edges. This simple eye is the perfect opportunity for a cream shadow, such as Laura Mercier’s Caviar Stick Eye Color in Sugar Frost, $24. Apply it all across the lid then blend with your finger or a fluffy crease brush to soften the creaseline. Top them off with a more subtle mascara, such as Dolce & Gabbana’s Secret Eyes Lengthening Mascara, $30.
This lip might look simple but the secret is finding a rosy red with a slight gold shimmer to get the same look. NARS’ new Lipstick in Dressed to Kill, $26, is a near perfect match.
