Do It: Summery Celeb Braids to Wear Now

Side Swept Waves
Emmy Rossum's hair, with its deep side-parted wave in the front and tangled looking braid, has a cool-girl vibe that's fairly easy to copy.

Side Swept Waves
Because of its imperfect nature, you don't have to worry about emulating it exactly. It's all about embracing the moment. Start with a loose French braid technique, then twist pieces, overlap them and keep it loose. Texturizing spray will add dimension and shine spray will give red carpet appeal.

The Swift Braid
This is one for long, thin hair, like Swift's, which is why it looks so good on her. One long braid on the side to wrap over the crown of your head and secure with pins. The back of the hair separated into one or two basic braids and then pinned to the back of your head in an undulating pattern. It can be done in minutes, since it can be far from perfect — and in fact shouldn't be.

It's Good to be French
Here's another shot of Emmy Rossum at a different event, with the simplest and purest of French braids down her back. Leave out a few pieces on the side to give a more natural, not too stuffy, impression.

What a Pretty Fish
The fishtail braid may take some practice to get right. Thankfully, you don't have to when you use Jennifer Morrison's style as your inspiration. Again with the loose side sweep and part (love), followed by an uneven, slightly askew fishtail that virtually any beginner can do. What's not to love here?

Crowning Achievement
Another iteration of Swift's style, but with more braids. Here's what all braided up looks like with thicker locks. Simply lovely, non?

Crowning Achievement
Here it is from the side. Just as lovely and sweet as from the front, I'd say.

Rapunzel Would be Jealous
Okay, wait for it. Just note from the front that the crown is slightly teased, textured hair. While Cheryl Cole might have sat for an hour to get the effect, you just have to go to bed with your hair down, and wake up with your natural voluminous texture.

Rapunzel Would be Jealous
Now the title makes sense. So thick, so full, so unapologetically natural-looking. This is an ultra loose French braid, tied with two ribbon to keep it all together.

Three Way Style
Cara is our "bad girl" model-of-the-moment and she makes her 15 minutes count with trendy-edgy style. It's either three braids or three corn rows, however you describe it, it's your next club look.
