Part of the fun of fashion month is waiting to see what trends emerge. And we’re not just talking about the clothes. The
runway beauty looks frequently spark IRL interpretations, though some don’t really work off the catwalk (we’re still trying to figure out how to pull off Yohji Yamamoto’s face scribble
from Spring 2018 ). Many of this season’s runway trends are already being embraced by celebs — or at least their stylists — like
underliner and
slicked-back hair .
One concept that has managed to transcend seasons and red carpets lately is the black hair ribbon. Taking off as far back as Spring 2017, we’ve seen ribbons complementing updos and ponies. (We’ll have to wait and see if the trend continues for Fall 2018.) And stars like Margot Robbie and Millie Bobby Brown have found unique ways to translate the ribbons to the red carpet this award season.
If you’re looking for some inspo on how to rock hair ribbons, here are 19 ways to make the look work from date night to the office.
