While the runways of fashion shows are almost guaranteed to take your breath away with designers’ stunning creations, there is just as much magic that goes into makeup and hair — and that goes double when flower crowns are involved. The flower embellishments that adorn the models of the runways and stars at premieres and awards shows are no basic Coachella arrangement, though. These romantic, bold blooms are an art form themselves.
Rodarte’s Spring 2019 show at New York Fashion Week brought flower hair back in a major way, joining names like Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone and Evan Rachel Wood to make it official: Wearing fresh flowers in your hair will never really go out of style.
