Another whirlwind fashion month has come to a close, but we can’t stop talking about all the cool street style, chic trends and playful beauty looks. And when it comes to Spring 2020 makeup trends, playful is the operative word. Of course, there will always be shows offering new takes on natural makeup. But having fun with makeup and color was the main overarching theme. Don’t be scared — there are trends that can easily be translated IRL. Just like in fashion, the 80s are back. There were many interpretations from strong Working Girl vibes to colorful looks. And makeup artists made them look cool rather than dated. Euphoria was another undeniable influence. The HBO show’s fantastical makeup has inspired countless Instagram posts and appears to have indirectly influenced the runways with makeup pros finding new ways to embrace the ongoing glitter trend. The Spring 2020 shows even showed that black isn’t boring with sparkling finishes and strong shapes. And saturated shades of red lipstick proved popular. The decade was alive and surprisingly chic at Tom Ford where makeup artist Diane Kendal blended shades from Tom Ford's Eye Quad in Nude Dip ($88) to create the smoky eye. A neutral lip and just the right amount of cheek sculpting kept the throwback vibes in check.

Tory Burch's inspiration for her Spring 2020 collection revolved around Princess Diana circa the 80s. So Diane Kendal played into the theme with a posh no-makeup makeup look featuring the faintest dusting of shimmer on the eyes and a tiny eyeliner flick.
