It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston’s last appearance at the newsstand was for Harper’s Bazaar back in October 2017, but she’s now back in the thick of it for September 2018 on the cover of InStyle. Following in the footsteps of Serena Williams, Jessica Alba and Sandra Bullock, Aniston becomes an InStyle cover girl under Laura Brown’s tenure, photographed by Ben Hassett and styled by the magazine’s new fashion director Julia Von Boehm throughout the cover shoot. In the newsstand cover image (below), the American actress looks at ease wearing Alexander McQueen while in the cover sent out to subscribers (after the jump), she lounges in a luxury car dressed in Michael Kors.
The cover was a hit with the majority of our forum members. “The shot is cute and candid! And the edit should be good because this is her first shoot with Hassett, and he’s normally amazing in Vogue Paris,” said forum member Benn98 the moment the covers came to light.
“Gorgeous and inviting. I always got why she is so appealing to readers, and such a great newsstands seller. She knows her image and has no need for making drastic changes, and it works for her,” added Miss Dalloway.

“Jennifer is like a modern-day Goldie Hawn IMO. Maybe that’s why she sells. I personally don’t mind that she doesn’t really try different things. There will always be a soft spot for this kind of effortless glam,” chimed in A.D.C.
In agreement over how well everything turned out was vogue28: “I’m quite fond of the Jennifer Aniston cover, it’s goofy in a charming sort of way and different from the poised and overthought covers we’ve become accustomed to over the years.”
“Jennifer looks great; first editorial of hers in ages that I really like. Lots of great, naturally glamorous shots by Hassett,” noted Fiercification.
