Longchamp president (and son of the founder), Phillipe Cassegrain has said that Longchamp has a long history of collaborating with artists (British artist Tracy Emin designed a limited edition Longchamp bag in 2004), and that with Moerman, the French luxury brand tried to make the project more than the mere slapping of a print on any bag. Instead, these handbags are works of art.
