Kate Moss is an international style icon that continues to inspire generation upon generation of fashion lovers. So, it comes as no surprise that the art world is paying homage to one of our favourite British models with an exclusive auction held today at the legendary Christie’s Auction House in London.
The sale is set to feature an array of paintings and photographs all featuring the beautiful Miss Moss and created by a mix of leading names including Sir Peter Blake, Nick Knight and, of course, no fashion photography sale would be complete without the addition of a Mario Testino chucked into the mix.
Those who are lucky enough to make the highest bid will walk away with some very culturally iconic imagery, from Nick Knight’s Moss complete with a David Bowie lightning bolt across her face, to her patriotic Union Jack decorated jacket Vogue cover shot by Mario Testino for the October issue in 2008. The collection has been curated by art collector Gert Elfering, and apparently, it’s also taking place with Kate’s blessing, so you just know that there’s a fine selection of artwork up for grabs.
