Earlier this week, we glimpsed a preview of Miu Miu‘s Spring 2014 campaign, which featured Elle Fanning. Now, the label has finally revealed the full campaign and we’ve learned that Fanning wasn’t the only Hollywood star tapped to be the face of the collection.
Actresses Lupita Nyong’o, Elizabeth Olsen and Bella Heathcote were also photographed for the Italian brand’s last batch of adverts, photographed by the prolific photography duo (and aspiring lifestyle brand), Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. (The pair also photographed Miu Miu’s Fall 2013 campaign.)
In the release, the label explains that the series of photographs “play on classic archetypes of fashion – through [the] individual style language” of the four actresses.
“Timeless codes of femininity are both pretty and perverse – classics, but not quite as they should be – as if seen in a dream. Thick wool stockings in rich yellow, red and pink are paired with ruby Mary Janes, lace-up knee-highs or crystal-studded platform sandals. A good-girl coat is interpreted in yellow and grey and a bad-girl bustier drips with jewels.
The actresses’ poses, full of personality, convey their diverse points of view, effortlessly translating the new spirit of the Miu Miu woman.”
