According to Retail Insider, Nordstrom’s extensively renovated location at The Grove in Los Angeles gives insight into the look of its new Canadian stores. The most obvious feature will be light, lots and lots of it as floor-to-ceiling windows grace many of the store facades. Interiors will be clean black and white, and white marble floors or high-gloss tiles will pave the way through the shopper’s paradise.
The 230,000-square-foot three-level Vancouver flagship, scheduled to open in the fall of 2015, has windows on all three levels, as does Yorkdale’s 2016 goliath. Meanwhile, on the smaller end of the spectrum, Nordstrom’s Calgary, Ottawa and Sherway Gardens stores also keep things light and airy with enough open frontage to bathe its clothes and restaurant in sunshine. You can check out all the store renderings in the photos we’ve included here, but what do you think of the design concept? Does this make you more excited for Nordstrom’s big takeover?
