As we were looking through The Society’s lineup, we couldn’t help but notice the presence of a certain “Kendall” (hey, she’s hard to miss) and the marked absence of her last name in the package.

Now, we’re pretty sure this mystery “Kendall” has two names, and we’ve known both of them for years, since she’s been on reality TV since she was in middle school. KENDALL JENNER, WE KNOW IT’S YOU. Really, no one with a recent knowledge of fashion or pop culture would be able to mistake her – the picture on her package card is of her highly publicized Love magazine cover. Sure, her face is partially obscured, but we’re pretty sure casting directors will quickly be able to identify her since, you know, they follow fashion.
Kendall has said she was afraid her famous last name would hurt her modeling career. As she told Love, “I went on castings and some people weren’t feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn’t recognize me. I was like, ‘Thank you. Please don’t recognize me.’” Still, it seems the name she abhors has actually done the opposite for her career. Can’t be *too* hard to get in a Givenchy campaign when your older sister is BFFs with the label’s creative director. Jenner’s also been able to get in the good graces of Katie Grand, in spite of being part of a famous family, so we’re not sure why she would imagine that being the second youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan would be at all detrimental.

But what is most confusing is why she would be referred to as simply “Kendall” in the first place. To hide, if only for a moment, her true identity so that casting directors “feel” her? Or perhaps she’s going by “Kendall” to sound more like an icon. I think it’s safe to say that Ms. Jenner has a long way to go before she can join the one-name club along with Naomi, Kate and Christy.
