Never one to shy away from a surprise ensemble, Iggy Azalea stood loud and proud in this orange-on-orange get-up at Z100’s 2014 Jingle Ball in New York on December 13.
We love that she chose something risky with a masculine flair, and carried her usual I-G-G-Y confidence, but the red carpet almost swallowed her whole in this head-to-toe tone. The bold orange could’ve worked better in a piece which showed more skin, like a mini or midi dress revealing a bit of leg, as well as switching up the shoe colour to lessen the load.
Thankfully, she did break things up with gold-zipper detailing around the blazer, a black high-neck crop, and finer details like metallic nails and shimmering green eyeshadow. We’re not sure if it was enough to save the look, and although the coiffed ponytail is Iggy to a T, we think a more polished do might’ve worked better for such an in-your-face and tricky outfit.
