She might be playing the evil stepmother in Disney’s upcoming Cinderella remake, but there was nothing sinister or courageous about Cate Blanchett’s outfit for the film’s Hollywood premiere on Sunday, March 1.
The Australian actress kept it really minimal and classic in a custom Céline outfit, with a crew-neck white long-sleeve top tucked into a deep-navy maxi skirt. This simple ensemble would’ve been a total bore without the two-tone pendant necklace, just like her necklace-centric 2015 Oscars look, considering her straight side-parted hair and clean makeup didn’t even try and make a statement.
Despite the simplicity of it all, Cate did charm us with the chic-sophistication which she seems to have down pat. It oozed elegance and all-round classic appeal, just like Cate herself, but we did get kind of sleepy just looking at this.
