Telstra Perth Fashion Festival (TPFF) just got a whole lot sexier. Dita Von Teese has been enlisted for Wheels and Dollbaby’s closing-night show, which will mark her Australian catwalk debut.
Dita is the perfect fit for the label’s runway. The burlesque dancer and model is a long-time friend of Wheels and Dollbaby designer Melanie Greensmith, and has previously collaborated with her on designs for the label.
“I thought it would make one hell of a sexy night for Perth to have my friend Dita walk down the catwalk wearing Wheels and Dollbaby, in the place where everything started for my brand,” Melanie told Ragtrader. “We’re going to bring the biggest runway party Perth has ever seen to the Festival!”

Dita is also excited about taking part, and keen to see the sights of Perth. "I’ve always been a fan of the Wheels and Dollbaby brand aesthetic and I’m really looking forward to being a part of what I know will be a glamorous show," she said. "I have so many close friends in Perth and they are always speaking so highly of it, so I’m looking forward to spending time there."
Wheels and Dollbaby have taken four years away from the TPFF catwalk, and we can't think of a better way to make their comeback a memorable one. The fashion festival will run from September 15-20, 2015.
