Model Cassi van den Dungen can’t even with the lack of likes she’s getting on her Instagram pictures, lashing out at her some 8,817 followers for not double tapping a relatively standard photo.
The Australia’s Next Top Model 2009 runner-up, who has made headlines for claiming unpaid work from Josh Goot and also because of her slim figure during Fashion Week Australia last year, put up one of those motivational type photos we see so often reading, “Say yes to new adventures” only to be let down by the unenthused reaction.
Her following post today circled the 14 likes she received, writing, “After going away on an amazing holiday/road trip I come home to see my post on new adventures had only 14 likes…..The lowest amount I’ve ever had on Instagram….”
Going on to say that she’s shocked because this either means that people don’t like her having new adventures or people don’t like new adventures in general, not considering the fact that a black and white font-based picture doesn’t necessarily stop anyone in their scrolls long enough to tap twice.
Needless to say, homegirl’s angry. “Either way, all I have to say to those people who didn’t like my post and don’t like having fun is ……YOU ALL SUCK!!!!! Adventures are fun and I’ll enjoy every one I have.”
Responses to her post are reaching Essena O’Neill territory, with commenters slamming the model for seeking validation through numbers and likes, a very real thing in today’s day and age. “The irony is that you claim to exercise the idea of adventure yet you measure the relevance of it by the amount of likes you get. #fail,” one person wrote. “Relax, likes don’t mean a thing in the real world…,” another said.
Over in normal human being land, we think 14 likes is pretty decent.
