The 2004 uniform of the Hilton sisters, suburban mall rats and the cool mom from Mean Girls is finally getting the recognition it deserves. London’s Victoria and Albert museum will feature the Juicy Couture tracksuit in a new exhibit titled “Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear,” according to Dazed & Confused.
The exhibit tells “the story of underwear design from the 18th century to the present day, considering the practical and personal, sensory and fashionable and exploring underwear’s roles of protecting and enhancing the body.”
It will feature the Juicy tracksuit alongside relics like Queen Victoria’s mother’s “long cotton drawers,” Kate Moss’ sheer Liza Bruce dress and “iconic designs” by Calvin Klein. We’re thoroughly disappointed that Tommy Hilfiger’s logo boxer briefs and Kylie Jenner’s Victoria’s Secret Bombshell bra missed the cut, but perhaps they can include it on the second run.
Dust off your Juicy Couture tracksuit and visit the “Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear” exhibit, running from April 16, 2016 until March 12, 2017.
