Twilight fans rejoice: Edward Cullen is starring in the new Karl Lagerfeld-shot Dior Homme Autumn 2016 ad campaign.
We know, of course, that Edward is fictional and that Robert Pattinson has a life and career beyond starring in the five Twilight movies, but there is no way to look at his smoldering sidelong gaze without envisioning his role as the sparkling, brooding vampire.
This isn’t Pattinson’s first foray into modeling for the famed French design house. He has appeared as the face of Dior Homme fragrance since 2012. Sidney Toledano, chief executive officer of Christian Dior Couture, tells WWD, “He was already the face of the Dior Homme Fragrance and he was thrilled to be also the face for fashion. When we told him that Karl Lagerfeld was going to shoot the campaign, Robert was even more enthusiastic and indeed, the campaign is perfectly reflecting the spirit of Dior Homme.”
Edward: we have always loved you and will always love you. The ads will appear in magazines beginning April 1.
