Breaking news: Karl Lagerfeld is working with a celebrity that’s not Kristen Stewart. The Chanel creative director is newly smitten with Willow Smith and just named the singer/actress the newest Chanel ambassadress.
This is a great honor for the 15-year-old star, who is clearly a fan of the fashion world. Not only is she a “trendsetter” as Chanel notes, she regularly attends Paris Fashion Week with her mom, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and once starred in Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 campaign.
As it turns out, she’s no stranger to the Chanel brand. The Susside singer has been wearing Chanel for public appearances since 2013 and was photographed by Karl Lagerfeld in 2014 for V Magazine. That might explain why they looked like BFFs at Chanel’s Fall 2016 presentation this morning.
Willow joins the ranks of Chanel spokesbeauties Lily Rose-Depp, Blake Lively and, of course, Kristen Stewart. Maybe she’ll even get her own campaign and short film soon.
